By default, the Tag reports the vehicle's location every 10 minutes, which gives a battery life of approximately 4–6 months. If you'd prefer longer battery life over more frequent updates, we can reduce the reporting frequency to once an hour, extending the battery to approximately 1 year.
Battery life depends entirely on how often the Tag reports its location:

More frequent check-ins mean more current location data, but they use more power — so there's a trade-off between how up-to-date the location is and how long the battery lasts between charges.
If you're on the default 10-minute reporting rate and want longer battery life, the most common fix is switching to the 1-hour interval instead.
